A line that is drawn between fighting for food and enjoying food is the line of endless supreme love. This universe is full of material actions but performing material actions on behalf of Krsna is achieving mercy of supreme Lord

PURPORT:

Why people fight for food? Because they are very hungry and want to fill their stomach. When one fights for food to fill own stomach is material action because hunger is from material mode of life. Hunger is automatically created because of material action. Simply, this whole universe is full of material actions. But when this same food is offered to Lord in supreme love and served to devotees as prasadam then it is enjoyment. Similarly when material actions are performed in our everyday life is offered to Krsna as doer then the same action becomes enjoyment. Thus the supreme endless line between enjoyment and fight is the action of love. If one can cross the line of love that is towards Krsna then that becomes enjoyment. Otherwise going to the opposite direction against Krsna is fight. Again fight means suffering. Again suffering is because of material action which is mode of nature. If we look at the food and its taste, the taste of the food is love towards Krsna that is real enjoyment. Similarly, for the devotees who receives extra food stuff that is served as prasadam, may save properly and distribute to others in proper condition including Krsna's cows with proper preservation. Either this prasadam is served to human or even animals but Krsna's presence is there simply because Krsna's love is there. Throwing these food stuff without proper uses is wasting Krsna's mercy by not feeding hungry. Thus indirectly one is engaged in fight with Krsna that leads to suffering. Even Mohaprabhu accepted morsel of rotten rice from Raghunath to glorify his devotional actions. Thus one must not waste mercy of Lord by wasting food stuff offered to Lord. All glory to Mohaprabhu who is Krsna! Hare Krsna! Haribol!
