It is like a sleeping duck in water that is drawing its own abode surrounding it with other similar workers (ducks) and with performing action in equal terms. But true devotees can win any situation only by chanting of name of Hari
PURPORT:
Everybody knows even one duck that is in sleep in water sometimes moves around using its sleeping action. Thus, duck that is in sleep in water it draws its own place of living surrounding it. Similarly, if there are many ducks living in water and sleeping, one can see many pictures are getting painted with their movement while sleeping and that is temporarily visible. But those pictures are performed in sleeping action within water by sleeping ducks are always temporary and invisible to them. These drawings are visible only for a moment those are awakened and then again become invisible. But still if ducks remain sleeping then new pictures are drawn continuously in sleep but when they awake, they start sporting. Similarly, devotees who are engaged in devotional service and reaming engaged in chanting Hari Nam, they are always awaken state and always engaged in the spiritual sporting of Lord Hari without any temporary engagement of painting like unknown drawings by sleeping ducks. But devotees those who are not engaged completely in the devotional services of Lord, they are like sleeping ducks in water. Though they draw many pictures of their own but still remain unknown about it. Thus following Krsna Consciousness and remaining in sleep like becoming like sleeping ducks. Even one can draw some pictures in sleep but that will not be visible to own self. Krsna Consciouness means awaken state of soul from the sleeping self and sporting with the Lord by engaging in devotional services and chanting Hari Nam in full devotion and love. Similarly, one can not awaken one unknown person by talking about Krsna for few minutes who is like one sleeping duck living in water. But one must deliver one permanent source of Krsna Consciouness by giving mercy of Prabhupada in terms of Prabhupada's teachings through His literatures. In that context one quote from Prabhupada is very useful like this “The real preaching is selling books. You should know the tactic how to sell without irritating.
