Getting mood of Lord Hari by visiting Lord is always superior spiritual gain for any devotee that leads one to supreme devotion and places one with supreme love of Lord. It is like the left over food of Lord as Prasadam that distributes love within heart of devotees with His sweet words full of love that touching one's heart
PURPORT:
The first and foremost thing that ISKCON should learn how to offer few grains of sugar to new comer guest devotees. Those who basically visiting first time to any ISKCON temple must be cared with good heart such that they feel their first experience very sweet similar to home coming. For that reason some old devotees may take turn each time to find out new comers who are visiting temples or any other devotional services with great humility and service attitude. They should be counseled properly with greatest care because these are the persons not having any ideas what Krsna Consciousness really means. They are regular person go to some work, visit shops, go to school or any other business areas, visit ordinary people, even goes to other temples but have little knowing of Krsna Consciousness. Though by their great fortune they are invited to one such Krsna temple but they are not follower of such philosophy of Krsna Consciousness and less interested to spiritual activities by most of them. Thus their egos is more higher than average Krsna Conscious devotees and because of this reason, they need careful counseling to bring to Krsna Consciousness. Though through grace of Krsna and because of their good fortune they reached to one such temple or to participate one such devotional activity, but inside they are very raw spirit filled with material consciousness and needs sufficient time to be awaken. Thus it is very wise decision that advance devotees must be trained how to counsel those new bees who are looking for honey upfront. Even though honey is not available at least some grains of sugar may satisfy them and letter they may try to produce their own honey. If they can produce more then their own needs then definitely they will offer their excess honey to Lord Krsna who is Modhusudana. Thus it must be a wise decision to teach how to offer sugar grain and how bees can produce honey of their own.
In that context, ISKCON temples should have kind of good norms such that new comers are taken care with good humility. For that purpose some advance devotees must engage themselves talking with new devotees and try to understand their spiritual needs, what they are experiencing and what is their spiritual goals. May be ISKCON may prepare some introductory forms with certain questionnaire leading to understand one's personal expectation and devotional stage and during course of conversation devotees must help them to understand and filled up such "Forms Of Introduction To Krsna Consciousness" for future counseling purpose. Based on the introduction, the new comers must be offered to read certain good books written by Prabhupada (if it is not sold then by loan subject to return to temple) or other ISKCON GBC members good books such that one can get little more awareness in introduction. It will be little better if such devotees are offered to some grains of Krsna Prasadam as sweet to carry to their home specially after filling up Introduction Form as Love of Krsna to newcomers, then it makes worth for new devotees to spend some times with discussing and in counseling process. That's first grains of sugar which is offered to new bees as Krsna's Prasadam and love, one may get feeling of Krsna's love and care in their heart from beginning. After then, it will be better if this new devotees are periodically sent messages through temples either via email or post remembering their personal presence and love towards Krsna and asking them to visit temple again to see Radha Krsna. In that way Krsna's love and hospitality will always be remembered by the new guests and once they themselves habituated with more sugar they will automatically look for honey and try to produce their own honey.
