Becoming certain about power of deliverance by Yogi, one son of Brahman is sleeping in eternal peace. That son is dancing with happiness knowing that devotees are eternal and that’s why it is called devotional nectar
PURPORT:
What is the power of deliverance? Who is delivered from where to whom? The question is asked by many sages time to time. That’s why sage Viswamitra wanted this answer from his disciple who is one son of Brahman? Viswamitra is one great sage who has tried to find absolute and try to achieve knowledge of Brahman. But when he achieves the power of Lord of some different kind he exhibits his power in different way. Because of this always he falls down into the material plane. Then he goes through series of yoga and again achieves spiritual power but again falls down to the material plane. That is mentioned in our scripture about Viswamitra. Why Viswamitra can not become successful to achieve the power of deliverance to the absolute? That question is asked by many sages to the supreme Lord Hari. Hari said, the power of deliverance is known as power of supreme soul that is Hari. Since Hari is residing in every soul this power of deliverance already exists in every jiva soul. That’s why jiva soul needs not to be delivered by other jiva soul. Since Viswamitra believes that power of deliverance only can be achieved through very hard austerity and yoga, so once he achieves this power after many many years of austerity he wants to exhibit this power and tries to use it on other jiva soul. But since the supreme Lord is existing in every jiva soul and Lord Himself is the source of this power, that’s why this power of deliverance that Viswamitra achieved after so many years of austerity is applied on supreme Lord Himself. So that power automatically transferred to the supreme Lord who is the cause of all causes and source of all spiritual power. Because of this reason Viswamitra always remains unsuccessful even after so many years of austerity to remain always in spiritual universe. It is like the same water that comes back to the source that is ocean through a river. That’s why power of deliverance is only applicable by the source not by the beneficiaries. That is the true knowledge about Supreme Lord. That is Krsna Consciousness. One can not exhibit spiritual power on the supreme Lord thinking that one has achieved power of deliverance through long austerity. Unless one is certain that the same supreme Lord exists even in one atom one can not resist oneself from such a temptation of spiritual power of deliverance. That’s why Viswamitra is always trapped through this unsuccessful effort because to him power of deliverance means severe austerity. When this knowledge is realized by one son of Brahman through devotion to Hari, he always sleeps in eternal peace knowing that Hari is supreme power of deliverance. The simple reason is that knower of Brahman is always superior because they always remain under protection of supreme Lord Hari. Thus Viswamitra can not exhibit his power of austerity on such Brahman who is always under protection of supreme Lord Hari. That’s why the son of Brahman sleeps very well knowing that his devotion to Hari is only eternal spiritual power of deliverance like spiritual nectar (amrit). By drinking nectar only one can achieve immortality that’s why devotional life to Hari is only way to drink eternal nectar and getting immortality. All glory to Lord Hari! All glory to Radha Krsna!
