PURPORT:
In satya yuga Narada was visiting entire world. One day He saw that other part of the land beside Himalayas nobody worships any deity. There is the rule of melachas. Then Narada became very sorry. He made a plan and went to Lord Indra. He told, O Devraj, you are the king of heaven. Even in your presence what is happening to all demigods in material world? Nobody worships any deity in other part of the world except main land of Bharata. Then Indra asked where is that place located? Devarsi said it is nearby the Himalayas where king of melachas is currently ruling. In that part of land nobody worships any deity. So please do something. Indra became very much thoughtful after listening from Narada. Seeing Indra immersed in deep thought, Narada said, O Devraj, beside this part of Himalayas there is one beautiful deity on the other side of land of that is ruled by king of Bharata who always worships deity. But the king of melachas always tries to steal that beautiful deity and remained unsuccessful every time. I can visit as a messenger and inform the king of melachas that the ruler of Bharata is ready to offer him the deity if he agrees to give her in marriage with the lord whom he worships. Listening that proposal king of mlechas will be very excited no doubt. Then Indra said, O Devarsi, you are always our well wisher and please do it immediately. Listening that Narada went to the king of mlechas and informed that king of Bharata is ready to give in marriage the beautiful deity to whom he always trying to bring into his country but remained unsuccessful. Listening this proposal the melcha king became very excited but asked why suddenly king of Bharata wants to give this deity in marriage with my impersonal Lord to whom even nobody can see? Narada said, this is because king of Bharata always for peace. He wants always peace with all other rulers including his neighbors. Since he knows that you always trying to steal that beautiful deity of other part of Himalayas that's why the king decided that he will give in marriage this beautiful deity to your Lord of worship. Listening that the king of mlechas became very happy and asked the messenger, please go and inform your king that I am very satisfied with this proposal. Narada came and then explained everything to Indra and Indra also became very satisfied. He immediately asked all demigods to be ready with a marriage party carrying this beautiful deity to the land of mlechas. A great procession is arranged and all demigods decorated very nicely with various ornaments and jewels. Then they put the deity on a palanquin and carried on their shoulder with a great procession surrounded by many demigods and their consorts with a marriage party including many drums and flutes etc. They reached to the land of mleachas where king of mlechas was very eagerly waiting for the deity for the marriage to His impersonal Lord. Then every arrangement is done with a very great happiness. Now the marriage ceremony started with hymns from priests who accompanied with Lord Indra. The deity was placed in a very well decorated place, with lots of flowers, perfumes, ornaments etc. All Brahmin started chanting mantras and all impersonal priests also started chanting their hymns offering to their impersonal Lord. Suddenly the deity manifests into her true form who is goddess Parvati. Parvati asked , O Indra, why do you bring me in this part of land where nobody worships any deity? My husband is Lord Shiva. Except Him I can not marry to any one. How do you dare to give me in marriage with this impersonal Brahman who is like a street dog to whom nobody knows. Thus Parvati became very very angry. Seeing Parvati in such a anger who became like a great fire that is equal to thousands of sun, Indra started tremble in fear. Seeing in such mood, Narada run to Lord Vishnu very quickly. Seeing Vishnu in front of him, Narada offers His prayers and said, O Lord of universe, please save Indra immediately other wise Parvati will burn him in ashes very soon. Then he explained everything to Vishnu and Vishnu came immediately in rescue of Indra. Appearing on this spot of marriage, Vishnu said, O mother Parvati, why are you so angry. What mistake Indra did to save all demigods in this part of land? All demigods are like your own children and you are mother of every one. If you can not protect your children then where will they go? Please behold mother. Listening that Parvati said, O, Lord of universe. Indra has dared me to get marriage with impersonal Brahman who is like one street dog nobody can see. My husband is Lord Maheswar and I worship Him always in my heart. How can I marry this street dog and live in this part of land where no one worships any deity? Listening that, Vishnu said don't be too upset mother Parvati. In Kali yuga I will appear as Lord Gouranga and spread holy name of Krsna always chanting Hari Nam. About 500 years after my appearance again this sankirtan movement will be spread throughout the universe including this material world. This Hari Nam sankirtan movement will continue for more than 10,000 years there after. At that time many divine sports will be performed by mine time to time. That time the ruler of Bharata will help to renovate this Shiva temple as a goodwill on this part of land of mlechas. That temple is located at Katasraj. Even in dwapara yuga Pandavas will come to worship Lord Shiva in that place during their exile. In Kali yuga you will be living in this temple with Lord Shiva as His consort and will be worshipped daily there after. Seeing your presence in this part of land of mlechas, all mlechas will start worshipping deity there after as a part of my divine lela. Thus be stay in this part of land with Impersonal Brahman who is also one form of Lord Maheswar and wait for my divine sports in Kali yuga. Listening that Parvati became very pleased and accepted the marriage with Impersonal Brahman who is another form of Lord Shiva. Afterwards she stayed in that part of land of mlechas with Her Impersonal husband who is Lord Shiva. All glory to Lord Hari! All glory to Lord Shiva and Parvati! All glory to Radha Krsna!
