Becoming public one practices unknown devotion thus one becomes popular within public in material platform. But devotion to Krsna gives supreme spiritual bliss that’s why devotion to Krsna is very dearer to our heart

PURPORT:

There are two types of publicity. Those who are public they are popular within public. One public servant is popular in material platform but not popular in spiritual platform. Thus he can not stay in spiritual platform for long. Why? Because becoming popular in public is unknown devotion. This is impersonal devotion because in this type of service the service is not offered to supreme Lord Krsna. That’s why service without satisfying Krsna though it is one service but still it is impersonal service not offered to supreme Lord Hari. This is also devotion but devotion to unknown Supreme Being. That’s why still it is in material platform. But when this devotion is offered to supreme Lord Krsna then only it becomes personal devotional service to supreme Lord Hari. Then only it is real devotion that brings happiness within heart. Personal service to supreme Lord Krsna is always dearer to heart of every jiva soul and always gives spiritual bliss. Thus, by living in this material world our first goal is to serve Krsna and then serving public for Krsna’s satisfaction. Then only our all services will become devotional services to Krsna who is personal and also impersonal Supreme Being. Without presence of Lord, no other service can become pure spiritual service. Similarly without serving Krsna no other service can become pure devotional service. Even sage Viswamitra failed many times because the goal of spiritual service was not offered to the satisfaction of supreme Lord Hari. When this service is only to become popular in public and to become a public figure, then this service is offered to impersonal form of Krsna. That’s why Viswamitra can not stay permanently in supreme spiritual platform always though he is one great sage. Always he has to go through severe austerities for many many years but again he falls back to material world because he serves impersonal form of Lord Krsna. All glory to Lord Hari! All glory to Radha Krsna! All glory to Narahari Narashima Dev! All glory to Prabhupada! All glory to Mohaprabhu! All glory to Pancha Tattva! All glory to associates devotees and Vaisnavas!
